Bangladeshi filmmakers, artistes and media professionals will be invited to the World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit 2025 scheduled to be held in India said Ann Mary George, director of Indira Gandhi Cultural Centre in Dhaka on Wednesday.

She made the statement after attending a gallery tour of an ongoing exhibition titled ‘111 Years of Indian Cinema’ and the curtain raiser event of the WAVES 2025 which is scheduled to be held from May 1 to 4 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, India.


The WAVES is a key forum for promoting discussions, collaboration and innovation in the media and entertainment industry, including television and radio, news, media, music, advertising, animation, visual effects, gaming, comics, social media, online creators, artificial intelligence, film, OTT platforms and exhibitors.

The summit includes global media dialogue of ministers and policymakers, discussions, awards, master classes and workshops, cultural performances, 22 competitions and an e-marketplace for these industries, said Ann Mary George.

The event was followed by an open discussion with journalists while journalists shared their views on the regarding issues.

‘There will be options for online registration and the summit authority also invites professionals of the entire media and entertainment sectors from around the world,’ said Ann Mary George.

The exhibition is open to all.
