The European Union will cooperate with Bangladesh in holding the next general election in a free, fair and credible manner.
The EU ambassador to Bangladesh Michael Miller on Sunday assured Jatiya Party chairman Ghulam Muhammad Quader of the cooperation after a meeting with him at the latter鈥檚 Banani office.
After the meeting lasted an hour with Miller, GM Quader told reporters that they discussed the latest political situation in Bangladesh and EU would assist Bangladesh in holding a free, fair, credible, and worldwide acceptable general election.
JP secretary general Mohammad Mujibul Haque Chunnu, special affairs adviser to the party chairman, Masroor Mawla, and others attended the meeting.
