The Indian high commission in Dhaka on Thursday asked the Indian community members and students residing in Bangladesh to avoid travel and minimising their movement outside their living premises amid countrywide violence during the ongoing student protests.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), the high commission said, ‘In view of the ongoing situation in Bangladesh, the Indian community members and the Indian students residing in Bangladesh are advised to avoid travel and minimise their movement outside their living premises.’
In a notice, the commission also said that their visa application centres would remain closed on the day.Â
