The Bangladesh Football Federation on Friday announced a 19-member squad to start the training camp ahead of their group stage campaign in the AFC Under-23 Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers in Vietnam from September 3 to 9.

The players have been asked to report to assistant coach Hasan Al Mamun at the Ascott The Residence in the city’s Baridhara area on Friday.

Among the selected players, US-based Bangladeshi defender Zayaan Ahmed is the lone expatriate player, while more players will join the camp from Abahani Limited and Bashundhara Kings at the end of their respective campaigns in the AFC Challenge League on August 12.

Zayaan is one of the 52 players who participated in the two-day trial under BFF management in Dhaka in June.

‘He [Zayaan] is in the list due to his fascinating skill and fitness he showed during the BFF trial,’ BFF secretary Imran Hossain Tushar told the media.

However, the BFF was yet to announce the head coach for the team.Ìý
