The Bangladesh national women's football team came back twice to hold hosts Jordan for a 2-2 draw in the second and final match of the tri-nation FIFA friendly series at the King Abdullah II Stadium in Amman on Tuesday night.
Earlier, in their first match of the tournament on May 31, Bangladesh held 94th-ranked Indonesia to a goalless draw at the same venue.
Despite conceding an early goal in the fifth minute through a strike from Jordan captain Maysa Jebarah, Bangladesh, currently ranked 133rd in FIFA Rankings, responded strongly, thanks to an equaliser from Shamsunahar Jr two minutes from half-time.
Jordan, who are ranked 59 places above Bangladesh, took the lead again in the 58th minute when Bana Bitar found the net. However, Bangladesh remained resilient and found a second equaliser in the 83rd minute through Shaheda Akter Ripa.
This series is a part of Bangladesh鈥檚 preparation for the forthcoming AFC Women's Asian Cup 2026 Qualifiers to be held in Myanmar from June 29 to July 5.
