
Fortis Football Club thrashed Chittagong Abahani 4-0 as the curtain of the Bangladesh Premier League fell with the match at the Mymensingh District Stadium on Thursday.
Gambian forward Pa Omar Babou (eighth, 64th) and local forward Piash Ahmed Nova (36th, 45th) both scored a brace as Fortis finished the league in sixth place with 27 points from 18 games in the 10-team league.
Earlier, Mohammedan Sporting Club confirmed their maiden league title, while six-time champions Abahani Limited finished runners-up and ahead of five-time champions Bashundhara Kings, who finished third.
Dhaka Wanderers Club and Chittagong Abahani were relegated, while the second-tier Bangladesh Championship League champions Public Works Department Sports Club and runners-up Arambagh Krira Sangha were promoted to next season鈥檚 BPL.
