Fakirerpool Young Men’s Club earned a comeback 3-2 win over bottom-placed Chittagong Abahani in their return leg tie of the Bangladesh Premier League at the Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur on Saturday.

In the day’s other match, Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society were held to a goalless draw by Brothers Union at the Birshreshtha Flight Lt Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.


In Gazipur, forward Shuvo Raj Bongshi gave Ctg Abahani the lead in the 33rd minute, only to see Fakirerpool’s Ivory Coast forward Ouattara Ben Ibrahim equalise the following minute.

Fakirerpool got the lead in the 76th minute when Ibrahim completed his brace before forward Syed Hossen Sayem converted it to 3-1 in the first minute of stoppage time.

Ctg Abahani defender Faysal Ahmed reduced the margin by scoring in the third minute of the stoppage time.

In their first leg matches, Fakirerpool beat Ctg Abahani 2-0 while Rahmatganj beat Brothers 3-1 in December 2024.

After completing their 13th round, Rahmatganj earned 20 points to hold onto fourth place in the 10-team table, while Brothers sit in fifth with 19 points. Fakirerpool is in eighth place with 13 points, while bottom-placed Ctg Abahani has three points.
