Forward duo Arman Foysal Akash (23rd) and Shahriar Emon (89th) scored once each in either half of the game to propel Abahani to third place of the 10-team league table with 12 points from five games.聽
In the day鈥檚 other match, Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society crushed newcomers Fakirerpool Young Men鈥檚 Club 6-1 at the Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur.聽
Rahmatganj鈥檚 Ghanaian forward Samuel Boateng and defender Rajon Hawladar each scored twice while defender Taj Uddin and forward Nabib Newaz Jibon added the other two goals to hand their side fourth win in five games.聽
Samuel gave his side the lead in the 25th minute before Uzbekistani forward Akobir Turaev equalised three minutes later for Fakirerpool from the penalty spot.
Rahmatganj restored the lead again in the 54th minute through Rajon before Taj Uddin made it 3-1 eight minutes later.聽
Jibon joined the goal feast by scoring in the 66th minute while Samuel and Rajon completed the rout with two more goals in the 72nd minute and stoppage time.聽
With the day鈥檚 outcome, Rahmatganj remained in second place of the table with 12 points from five games on better goal difference than Abahani, who also have the same number of points from similar outings.聽
