The 10-team Bangladesh Premier League begins on Friday while the Federation Cup will kick-off on December 3, as the Bangladesh Football Federation announced the fixtures on Sunday.

Last season鈥檚 treble winners, Bashundhara Kings will face Chittagong Abahani at the Kings Arena in one of the three matches on the opening day of the 17th edition of the BPL.


Runners-up Mohammedan Sporting Club will face promoted Dhaka Wanderers Club at the Shaheed Barkat Stadium in Gazipur, while Police Football Club will take on Brothers Union at the Birshreshtha Flight Lt Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj in the day鈥檚 other two matches.

The first-leg of the league, which will end on January 25, 2025, will consist of 45 matches contested at five different venues across the country.

Cumilla鈥檚 Shaheed Dhirendranath Dutta Stadium and Rofique Uddin Bhuiyan Stadium in Mymensingh are the other two venues. Three matches will be played on Friday and Saturday of each week.

In the Federation Cup, Kings will begin their campaign with the match against Brothers Union in one of the opening day鈥檚 two matches in Cumilla, while Police FC will face Forties FC in the day鈥檚 other Group A match in Mymensingh.

The other team from Group A, Dhaka Wanderers will launch their campaign of the 10-team competition with the match against Brothers in Munshiganj on December 17.

However, Group B is comprised of Mohammedan Sporting Club, Abahani Limited, Ctg Abahani, Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society, and the promoted Fakirerpool Young Men鈥檚 Club.

All the Federation Cup matches will be played on each Tuesday of the week, except the tournament final, which will be played on Friday (May 2, 2025).

The three venues鈥擪ings Arena, Cumilla, and Mymensingh鈥攚ill host 23 matches up to the super-four stage, while the venue of the final is yet to be decided.
