The directorial venture of filmmaker Sohel Rana Boyati titled Naya Manush received the uncut certificate from the Bangladesh Film Certification Board on Thursday.
Based on AMM Hasanuzzaman’s novel titled Bedanar Baluchare, and produced by Nandnik Films under the banner of G-Series, the screenplay of the film has been written by Masum Reza.Â
Sohel Rana Boyati told ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ· that they were looking forward to releasing the film this year.
The shooting of the film was started in October 2022, said Sohel Rana, adding, ‘But due to cyclone Sitrang, we could not follow through. The shooting ended in a remote area of Chandpur in April, 2023.’
The director also mentioned that as the film industry seemed to them stick at a standstill; they would like to take the step to bring down the dire strait by releasing the film.
Remaining optimistic about the success of the film, Moushumi Hamid mentioned, ‘After watching the film, filmgoers will love it with admiration.’
Among others, Rawnak Hasan, Ashish Khondker, Jhuna Chowdhury, Nilufar Wahid, Parvin Paru, Badruddoza, Mehran Sanjana, Smaran Saha, Shikha Karamakar, Ushashi, Merry and Mahin Rahman have portrayed different characters in the film.
