
Government officials, academicians, education rights campaigners and activists on Wednesday said that all concerned stakeholder, including the government and the non-government organisations, should work together to reduce the learning losses among the students.
They said this at an opinion sharing programme titled Remedial education to eliminate learning loss among the lagged behind students, held at the YWCA auditorium in Dhaka on Wednesday. Â
The Campaign for Popular Education organised the event supported by Save the Children.
While chairing, CAMPE executive director Rasheda K Choudhury said that the government should be in the driving seat to eradicate learning loss among the lagged behind students.
Along with the government and the non-government organisations, development partners and private sector should work with the same purpose, she continued.
Guest of honour, Directorate of Primary Education deputy director Md Farhad Alam said that they had formed a framework regarding remedial education.
Currently CAMPE, Save the Children and ESD are jointly implementing the Empowering Children through Education project at 322 government primary schools in Rajarhat upazila in Kurigram and Madarganj upazila in Jamalpur.
