Education adviser Professor Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar on Monday said that education-related proposals proposed in the white paper would be taken forward as much as possible.

‘Many issues have been identified through discussions from the proposals. Work has been started to take them forward in a short time,’ he told a views-exchange programme with the members of the White Paper Preparation Committee and concerned officials at the ministry conference room.


The education adviser said that the problems identified by the White Paper Preparation Committee after discussing with many stakeholders were certainly acceptable.

‘In addition to the issues proposed by the committee, various challenges are constantly being faced. Often some issue is being created, the issues have to be resolved,’ he said.

‘We have already exchanged views with the industry owners about the courses suitable for them. We are trying to implement their opinions,’ he said.

Head of the White Paper Preparation Committee Debapriya Bhattacharya and its members senior secretary of the secondary and higher education division Siddique Jobayer, secretary of the technical and madrassah education division KM Kabirul Islam were present, among others, in the meeting.
