Vice-chancellor of the Dhaka University of Engineering and Technology Mohammad Zoynal Abedin held a meeting with the education adviser Professor Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar in Dhaka on Thursday.
Various issues of the DUET, including land expansion, convocation arrangements, budget, updating of administrative structure, research and publication activities, university rankings and proposed projects, including various relevant issues, were discussed in the meeting, said a press release on Friday.
DUET VC highlighted the ongoing overall situation of the university such as disciplined academic environment, active participation of students in extra-curricular activities, advanced research facilities, a number of international standard research and publications and contribution to the socio-economic and sustainable development of the country.
The adviser expressed satisfaction with these overall aspects of the university and assured all-round cooperation in the development of DUET.
The Ministry of Education鈥檚 senior secretary Siddique Jobayer and senior officials of the ministry were also present at the meeting.
