The candidates of the Higher Secondary Certificate and its equivalent examinations under the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka, are now allowed to enter the exam centres from 8:30am on exam days.

The permission was given to prevent public sufferings, said an office order issued on Saturday.

As per some special instructions regarding the examinations in the routine published earlier all examinees were requested to enter their respective examination halls 30 minutes before the starting time.

In Dhaka, the examinations (each of three hours starting at 10:00am) are taking place in 87 centres.

The Saturday order especially requested the exam centres’ in-charge officials to take steps to allow the candidates to enter the centres from 8:30am for easing the traffic congestion in the adjacent areas and public sufferings.

Other directives for entering the centres, however, would be in effect, said the office order signed by the board’s controller of examinations Professor SM Kamal Uddin Hyder.Â
