The operational activities of all customs across the country would remain active during the Durga Puja holidays to ensure uninterrupted import and export activities, according to a notification issued by the National Board of Revenue on Tuesday.
The notification directed the relevant customs and tax offices to continue limited operations at all customs houses on October 1 and 2, which were declared public holidays for Durga Puja, the largest religious festival of the Hindu community.
In this regard, the NBR circulated the directive to all relevant government and non-government agencies engaged in international trade.
