Netherlands cricket team arrived in Bangladesh on Wednesday to play a three-match T20I series starting on August 30 at the Sylhet International Stadium.听
The Dutch team reached Dhaka around 8:00am and then flew out to Sylhet around 12:00pm.听
This will only be the second bilateral series between the two teams and the first on Bangladesh soil.听
Bangladesh have won four out of five matches against the Netherlands, as the last match came in the T20 World Cup last year.听
The series is thought to be the preparation for the Asia Cup for Bangladesh. The Tigers were originally supposed to play a white ball series against India in the window, but that series was deferred to next year.听
Netherlands have recently made three changes in their squad due to various reasons. Star players like Bas De Leede, Roelof van der Merwe, and Michael Levitt were already missing from the squad that would be led by the experienced Scott Edwards.听
They recently won the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Europe Region Final, beating Italy, and confirmed their place in next year's World Cup in the proceedings.听
