In reply, Adelaide opener Mackenzie Harvey struck a blistering ton to chase down the target with 11 balls in hand.

The southpaw smashed an unbeaten 102 off 53 balls that featured 15 boundaries and a six and formed a 123-run opening stand with Jake Winter (35).

Harvey then added another 37 runs with Harry Manenti, who scored 25 off 14 to cruise his team to victory and shatter Bangladesh’s hopes of qualification.

Among Bangladeshi bowlers, Saif Hassan returned with figures of 2-28 from three overs, while Mrittunjoy Chowdhury claimed 1-32.

Earlier, opener Jishan scored a 38-ball 50 to give Bangladesh a solid start, despite losing Mohammad Naim for 15.

Saif and captain Nurul Hasan, who were recently called back into the T20I national side, also failed to rise to the occasion and returned to the pavilion with 15 and 6 runs, respectively.Ìý

Afif Hossain then played an unbeaten 49 off 23, including five fours and three sixes, to anchor their innings, while Yasir Rabbi’s quickfire 25 from 15 led Bangladesh to set a good total.
