Bangladesh national cricket team is set to tour Afghanistan for a white-ball series after the Asia Cup, confirmed the Afghanistan Cricket Board on Friday.

The series will consist of three T20Is and an equal number of ODIs, to be held in the United Arab Emirates in October.

‘We are proud to host a series against Bangladesh. This tour highlights the strength of our mutual relations and reaffirms our commitment to delivering world-class cricket, even at neutral venues,’ said ACB chief executive officer Naseeb Khan on Friday.

The series will begin with T20I series, with the first match scheduled on October 2, followed by the next two matches on October 4 and 6, respectively.

The ODI series will start on October 9, with the remaining two matches scheduled for October 11 and 14.

The series will be held right after the Asia Cup, which is also scheduled in the UAE from September 9 to 28, featuring eight teams in the T20 format.

Both the teams are set to face each other in the Group ‘B’ match on September 16 in the prestigious tournament.

The venues are yet to be revealed.
