Bangladesh registered a commanding seven-wicket win over Pakistan in the first match of the three-game series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday.

Bangladesh dismissed Pakistan for a record-low 110 in 19.3 overs, marking the first time the Tigers have bowled out Pakistan in T20Is.

Parvez Hossain then scored a brilliant 56 off 39 to help the hosts ace the target in 15.3 overs, which was their fourth victory over Pakistan in this format.

The hosts lost two quick wickets while chasing as Tanzid Hasan and Liton Das were both dismissed for one run.听

However, Parvez, who was aggressive from the outset, formed a 73-run partnership with Towhid Hridoy, which turned the game in Bangladesh鈥檚 favour.

Towhid was dismissed after scoring 36 off 37, while Jaker Ali played an unbeaten 10-ball 15 cameo.

Earlier, Bangladesh were all over Pakistan's batting since the second over of the innings when Taskin had Saim Ayub.听

After conceding 13 runs in the first five balls of his next over, Mahedi Hasan bounced back quickly by having Mohammad Haris caught at deep mid-wicket.

Mustafizur Rahman took the wicket of Hasan Nawaz before Tanzim Hasan Sakib claimed the wicket of Salman Ali Agha. Pakistan were 41-4 at the end of the powerplay.听

Mohammad Nawaz鈥檚 run out worsened Pakistan鈥檚 situation, leaving them at 46-5 in the eighth over.

Then Fakhar, who was dropped on multiple occasions, attempted to rebuild their innings with Khushdil Shah but managed only 24 before being run out for 44.

Khushdil (17 off 23) and Abbas Afridi (22 off 24) instilled some hope into Pakistan鈥檚 innings as their 33-run partnership helped them to surpass the 100-run mark.

However, Khushdil鈥檚 wicket by Mustafiz proved costly before Taskin dismantled the tail.听

Taskin finished with the figure of 3-22, while Mustafiz was the most economical bowler with a figure of 2-6 from four overs.听

The second match of the series is scheduled for Tuesday at the same venue.
