Fahima Khatun and Jannatul Maoua with the ball, and then Sarmin Sultana and Ishma Tanjim with the bat powered Sheltech Cricket Academy to the top of the table of the ongoing Dhaka Premier Division Women鈥檚 Cricket League as they beat Bangladesh Ansar & VDP by nine wickets at the BKSP Ground-1 on Sunday.聽
Opting to bat first, Bangladesh Ansar collapsed from 65-1 in 18.3 overs (Arbin Tani scored 44 off 60) to 86-7 in 33.4 overs. They managed to get 136 before being all out in 49.5 overs thanks to contributions from captain Tithi Rani (23) and Lili Rani (18).聽
Fahima and Jannatul each took three wickets for 23 and 20 runs, respectively, while Fuara Begum took two for Sheltech. 聽
Ishma and Sarmin then began Sheltech鈥簊 batting with a storm as they reached 100 in 14 overs before Ishma fell for 48 off 47.聽
Sarmin, though, remained unbeaten on 63 off 54 balls when Sheltech registered their fourth win of the season in just 20.4 overs. They are yet to drop a match while Ansar are yet to register a win.
