
Following the conclusion of their official warm-up game, the Bangladesh national cricket team returned to Dallas on Sunday ahead of the main phase of the 2024 ICC T20 World Cup.
The Tigers will take on Sri Lanka in their opening game of the tournament at the city鈥檚 Grand Prairie Stadium on June 7.
According to a Bangladesh Cricket Board official, the national team and the support staff reached the venue at 12:00pm local time.
Earlier, on Saturday, the Tigers lost their second warm-up match against India by 60 runs after their first match against the USA in Dallas was abandoned due to adverse weather conditions.
Prior to that, the Tigers played a three-match series against USA in Dallas, which they lost 2-1.
Bangladesh will play against South Africa in the second game in New York on June 10.
Ahead of the matches, Bangladesh suffered an injury scare as left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam needed six stitches in his bowling hand after splitting his webbing while fielding in the warm-up game against India, adding to Bangladesh鈥檚 injury list which already included Taskin Ahmed, who is recovering from a rib injury.
