Dhaka University deputy registrar Muhammad Lovelu Mollah was arrested on early Tuesday, after he posted on Facebook about the verdict against Sheikh Hasina in a crimes against humanity case.
On early Tuesday, several students and members of the university’s proctorial team handed him over to Shahbagh police station, and later in the morning, police sent him to a court.
Following the verdict, Lovelu Mollah posted on his Facebook profile a photocard featuring Sheikh Hasina with the caption, ‘I don’t care’.
Confirming the development, Shahbagh police station officer-in-charge Khalid Monsur told ¶¶Òõ¾«Æ· that the proctorial team, along with students, brought Lovelu to the thana, adding that he had posted on Facebook opposing the death sentence handed down to Sheikh Hasina.
He had been arrested under the Anti-Terrorism Act and was sent to court in the morning, he added.
