The Bangladesh Judicial Service Association on Friday warned that lower court judges would stage a pen-drop protest starting Sunday if their demands are not met within 48 hours.
The judges are seeking enhanced security for courts, judges’ residences, and official vehicles, as well as disciplinary action against the police officers who presented to the media the man accused of killing a senior judge’s son and injuring his wife.
The association issued the demands in a press release signed by its president, Amirul Islam, and secretary general, Muhammad Mazharul Islam.
