The closing ceremony of Right2Grow, a landmark collaborative initiative in the nutrition, health, and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene sectors, was held on Monday at Hotel Le Méridien in Dhaka.

The event was organised by the Right2Grow country consortium, led by Max Foundation Bangladesh. It brought together senior government representatives, development partners, UN agencies, the private sector, civil society organisations, and community leaders from programme areas, said a press release.


The ceremony was attended by chief guest Md Saidur Rahman, secretary of health and family welfare ministry. Special guests included Annelies Kanis, global lead, Right2Grow consortium and country director, The Hunger Project Netherlands; Osman Haruni, senior policy adviser, AFS&TBD, embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands; Md Rizwanur Rahman, director general, Bangladesh National Nutrition Council; Kh Md Nazmul Huda Shamim, joint secretary, local government division; and Badiul Alam Majumder, member, National Consensus Commission, along with consortium leadership and programme partners.

ATM Tariqul Islam, chairperson of the Right2Grow country steering committee and country director of Max Foundation Bangladesh, Iqbal Azad, team lead, Right2Grow consortium, spoke at the event.
