Dhaka University鈥檚 public administration department teacher and assistant proctor Shehreen Amin Bhuiyan on Monday filed a case with Shahbagh police station under the Cyber Security Act, accusing several individuals of posting doctored photos of her on Facebook and making obscene and defamatory comments.

DUCSU liberation war and democratic movement secretary Fatima Tasnim Zuma, common room and cafeteria secretary Umme Salma, and law and human rights secretary Md Zakaria were also present during the filing of the case.

The case accused journalist and activist Mujtaba Khondakar, writer and activist Mohiuddin Mohammad, and Dhaka College students Nirab Hossain and Ashfaq Hossain, along with several unidentified individuals.

Shehreen alleged in the case that several Facebook accounts had been continuously editing and posting her photos in an indecent manner while making obscene, vulgar, and defamatory remarks about her.

Writer Mohiuddin Mohammad, however, denied the allegations against him. In a Facebook post on Monday afternoon, he claimed that he neither saw nor knew who had circulated the edited photos of Dhaka University teacher Shehrin Amin Bhuiyan (Monami).
