A prisoner died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital on Thursday, hours after admission.
The deceased is Md Amir Hossain, 38.
Amir fell sick at Dhaka Central Jail Wednesday night, said jail guard Arman, leading to his admission at the hospital at around 9:00pm. He passed away at around 11:00am on Thursday.
No further details about the prisoner were released.
Md Faruk, in charge of the police camp at DMCH, said that the body was kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
