A rickshaw puller was killed in a road accident in front of Red Crescent at Hatirjheel in Dhaka city early Tuesday.
The deceased is Abdul Awal, 67, of Bormi village in Sreepur Thana of Gazipur district.
The accident occurred when a speedy private car hit a rickshaw in the area, leaving rickshaw puller Awal injured critically.
Locals rescued him and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where he died from his injuries.
DMCH police camp in-charge inspector Mohammad Faruque confirmed the incident, saying that the body was kept at the hospital morgue.
