Around 2300 people have received free legal support through the National Legal Aid Services Organisation, according to a report published on NLASO website.

The report said that the organisation had rendered legal assistance for the insolvent and poor people against 2,297 cases between 2009 and August 2025 from the Supreme Court legal aid office so far.

Besides, the legal aid offices in 64 districts have given free legal services in 4,31,693 cases, while Dhaka and Chattogram Sramik Legal aid cells gave free services in 4,484 cases.

The initiative is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to ensure equal access to justice for all citizens, particularly those unable to afford legal representation.

The services are rendered free of charge under the provisions of the Legal Aid Act, reaffirming the state’s commitment to uphold the rights of its most vulnerable populations.

The activities are run under the law and justice division of the ministry of law, justice and parliamentary affairs.

Insolvent justice seekers are getting guidance and free legal aid service through the toll-free National Helpline 16430.
