A 13-year-old boy was arrested in the Moglabazar area under Dakshin Surma upazila in Sylhet on Wednesday on charges of raping a 2-year-old girl.
Sylhet Metropolitan Police additional deputy commissioner Mohammad Saiful Islam confirmed the matter to 抖阴精品.
He said that the family of the victim filed a rape case with the Moglabazar police station.
鈥楩urther legal action is underway against the rape suspect,鈥� the police official said in the evening.
Earlier on Monday, the abused child was admitted to the One-stop Crisis Centre of Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital.
The mother of the child told reporters that doctors have found signs of sexual abuse.
