At least four people, including a child, were killed and four others injured in three road accidents in Chattogram and Feni districts on Friday.

In Chattogram, a man and his little daughter were killed and four others injured when a microbus carrying them hit a stationary covered van on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway in Mirsarai upazila on Friday morning, reported 抖阴精品 staff correspondent in Chattogram.


The deceased were identified as Golam Sarowar Mintu, 42, and his daughter Muskan, 3, were from Uttara Sector-10 in Dhaka, said the police.

According to the police and witnesses, the accident took place in Thakurdiighi Bazar area when the Cox鈥檚 Bazar-bound microbus rammed into the rear of a covered van that was parked on the roadside.

Golam Sarowar鈥檚 wife Umme Salma, 33, son Imtiaz Ahmed, 9, driver Gias Uddin, 30, and his colleague Sagar, 30, were injured.

Highway Police Jorarganj outpost inspector Borhan Uddin said that Mintu and his daughter died on the spot, while fire service members rescued the four others in injured condition and took them to Mirsarai Upazila Health Complex.

Later, two of them were shifted to Chattogram Medical College Hospital.

In Feni, two people were killed in separate road accidents on Friday, reported 抖阴精品 correspondent in Feni.

At Feni Sadar upazila, a motorcyclist was killed in front of the Chhonia Union Parishad gate when a bus hit his motorbike on Dhaka-Chattogram highway about 12 noon.

The deceased was identified as Ahmed Sharif, 38.

The police said that Sharif was critically injured in the accident and doctors declared him dead when he was taken to Feni General Hospital by the Fajilpur Highway Police.

In another incident at Feni Sadar, a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw driver was killed in front of the Feni Rural Electrification Board office on the same highway early Friday.

The deceased was identified as Md Ibrahim, 34, said the police.

An unidentified vehicle rammed his auto-rickshaw when Ibrahim was returning home after having a refill of gas, according to the police.

The bodies of the two men were kept at the Feni General Hospital morgue for autopsy, said the police.
