The Hope Foundation was awarded FOBANA Outstanding Service Award 2024-2025 during the 39th annual convention held at the Gas South Convention Center, Atlanta, says a press release.

The award was presented by Masud Rob Chowdhury, chairman of FOBANA, and Mohammad Rahman Zahir, vice-chairman of FOBANA, in recognition of the foundation’s dedicated efforts to support vulnerable communities.


Iftikher Mahmood, the founder of the Hope Foundation for Women and Children of Bangladesh, accepted the award on behalf of the organisation. In his speech Mahmood thanked the FOBANA organisation for their relentless efforts for the past four decades preserving Bangladeshi culture and heritage across North America.

Mahmood expressed heartfelt appreciation for honouring the Hope Foundation.

The Hope Foundation has been providing health care to the marginalised people of Bangladesh for the past 26 years through its hospitals and health clinics is committed to providing vital healthcare services, including a hospital for the refugees. Hope Foundation team is a pioneer in obstetric fistula surgery across the country and established one of the first midwifery schools in the country.
