
BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology organised a roundtable discussion on ‘the role of college principals in promoting quality education’ at the Multipurpose Hall of BUFT in Dhaka on Monday.
Principals, teachers and students from 21 colleges in and around Dhaka participated in the event and engaged in constructive discussions aimed at enhancing the quality of education and achieving academic excellence in Bangladesh, said a press release.
Conducted by director of BUFT public relations Mohammad Imtiaj, BUFT registrar Md Rafiquzzaman delivered welcome speech at the programme.
BUFT acting vice-chancellor Professor Ayub Nabi Khan delivered keynote address at the programme.
He emphasised that the necessity of innovative leadership, curriculum development and creating an inclusive educational environment to ensure quality education, which would prepare students to face global challenges.
College principals attending the roundtable shared their experiences and initiatives taken to improve educational standards.
The discussion highlighted the use of modern teaching methods, the importance of teacher training and the role of co-curricular activities in the overall development of students.
Teachers and students also shared their classroom experiences and challenges.
