
The government has appointed High Court division registrar Mohammad Habibur Rahman Siddiquee as the new registrar general of the Supreme Court.
A law and justice division gazette, signed by deputy secretary, admin-1, AFM Golzar Rahman, said that the appointment was made following the consent of the chief justice.
The gazette also directed Mohammad Habibur Rahman Siddiquee to join his new workplace immediately, handing over the current charge on the date specified by the Supreme Court.
Earlier, Supreme Court registrar general Aziz Ahmed Bhuiyan was appointed as an additional judge of the High Court division on August 25 and he took oath on August 26.
