
North South University hosted the Singapore Film Showcase, celebrating 60 years of Singapore’s culture, connection, and cinematic heritage recently.
The event featured two landmark Singaporean films – Kopitiam Days and 12 Storeys – offering a captivating glimpse into the nation’s evolving cultural narrative, said a press release.
The event was graced by Mitchel Lee, Charge d'Affaires, Singapore high commission in Dhaka, along with a delegation.
From NSU, vice-chancellor Professor Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, attended the event as chair. The showcase also drew participation from deans, directors, chairs, and senior academic and administrative leaders of the university.
Speaking at the event, Mitchel Lee shared appreciation for NSU’s initiative in organising the showcase and expressed interest to work together on more collaborations in the future.
Organised by the office of external affairs, NSU, the event provided students, faculty, and staff a unique opportunity to experience Singaporean art and storytelling firsthand.
