Detective branch of police on Monday arrested a mugger on charges of stabbing a senior police officer to evade arrest from Dhaka鈥檚 Kawran Bazar area.
The arrested is Md Ripon, 30.
Deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police鈥檚 DB Muhammad Talebur Rahman told BSS that they arrested Ripon in Kawran Bazar area at around 6:00pm.
Ripon evaded arrest after stabbing additional deputy commissioner Sumon Reza posted in Bangabhaban area near Kawran Bazar metro station on August 12 last.
