
A total of 41,627 candidates on Tuesday received recommendations for entry-level vacancies in teaching positions under the non-government secondary-level educational institutions under the monthly pay order system.
The recommendations were given against 1,00,822 vacancies for teachers in these institutions across the country.
The rest 59,195 positions of entry-level teachers will remain vacant as eligible candidates were not available.
The recommendations were officially handed over to the education ministry adviser Professor Chowdhury Rafiqul Abrar at the Secondary and Higher Education Division office at Bangladesh Secretariat on the day.
The Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority’s chairman Md Aminul Islam handed over the results to the adviser.
On November 2, 2023, the NTRCA published a notice for the 18th teacher’s registration examination against which 18,65,719 candidates applied.
The preliminary test was held on March 15, 2024 in which 13,40,833 candidates participated against which 4,79,981 passed.
Between July 12 and 13 in the same year, the written tests were held in which 3,48,680 candidates participated of whom 83,865 passed.
The viva-voce tests were held between October 27, 2024 and May 31 this year in which 81,209 candidates participated among whom 60,634 passed.
A section of about 20,000 candidates who failed the viva-voce began protests in June, demanding reconsideration of the results.
On June 16, the 6th Teacher’s Appointment Recommendation Circular 2025 was published for the vacant positions. Â
Under the circular, the authority received 57,840 applications from June 22 till July 10.Â
Following the merit list and choice list of the candidates, the recommendations were made automatically by the Teletalk Bangladesh Ltd by software following the NTRCA guidelines.

The heads of the educational institutions can download the candidates' employment recommendation letters by accessing Teletalk’s link using their user ID and password.
