
Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Tejgaon Division has arrested 41 people during a special daylong drive against various crimes across six police station areas under the division.
DC (Media) of DMP Talebur Rahman confirmed the matter on Monday.
He said those arrested include accused in regular and under-investigation cases, drug dealers, professional muggers, thieves, listed criminals, terrorists, and convicts with arrest warrants.
In Adabor Police Station area, three people were arrested. They are Shahadat Hossain Khan, Jewel Rana, and Russel Molla.
In Mohammadpur Police Station area, police arrested eleven people including professional drug traders.
They are Iftan, Ismail, Shamim, Mojaffer, Apurbo, Korban, Hridoy, Arman, Wasim, Rifat, and Raihan Kabir.
In Tejgaon Police Station area, four people were arrested. They are Anwar Hossain, Russel Mia, Intaj, and Nupur alias Liza.
In Tejgaon Industrial Area Police Station, three people were arrested. They are Niyamat Ali, Rezaul Karim Patowary, and Riad Munshi.
In Hatirjheel Police Station area, police arrested five people. They are Shuvo, Mobarak Ullah, Rony Das, Babu Hawlader alias Ample Babu, and Awal Chowkidar Ovi.
In Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station area, fifteen people were arrested. They are Shafiur, Mamun, Ramzan, Jasim, Shamim, Maruf, Mizan, Jewel, Raihan, Alamin, Musha, Farhan, Kalu, Shakil, and Rafsanul.
All the arrested have been sent to court, DC Talebur Rahman added.
