In the ongoing countrywide anti-criminal crackdown, the police arrested 1,991 more crime suspects from different parts of the country in the past 24 hours.
Of the arrestees, 1,166 were netted in previous cases while 825 others have been arrested for other criminal charges, said a press release of the police headquarters.
It said that nine rounds of shotgun bullets, six chapattis, eight knives, a Chinese axe and 13 round cartridges and other locally made weapons were seized during the drives.
