Members of the Border Guard Bangladesh arrested an Indian national with an Indian Aadhaar card in the bordering Bagakhali Bazar area of Jurachhari upazila in Rangamati district early Thursday.
The arrested is Man Chandra Chakma, 22, son of Chandra Hanshu Chakma of Lunglei area of South Ugudasuri Chongte in Mizoram state, India.
A patrol team of Bagakhali BOP under the Kaptai Battalion, 41 BGB, conducted a special operation in the area based on intelligence information and arrested the Indian national, a BGB press release said.
The arrested person in the initial interrogation confessed that he was involved in smuggling.
