The Bangladesh Bridge Authority on Thursday held a training titled ‘settlement of audit observations’ at the Padma Bridge Site Office.

The training was organised under the Human Resource Development and Capacity Building Project of the Bridge Authority, said a press release.


Mohammad Abdur Rouf, bridges division secretary and executive director of Bangladesh Bridge Authority, was present as chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the training.

Md Iqbal Hossain, deputy director, Department of Transport Audit, was the resource person at the training.

Mohammad Abdur Rouf gave instructions to maintain discipline in the financial sector, perform duties, preserve documents and records, in addition to proper use and prevention of waste of government money.

He emphasised on spending money in accordance with government regulations so that audit objections did not arise in the future.

He also said that the government resources were the deposit of the people and he gave instructions to the officials to ensure their proper use and advised everyone to be careful so that the people did not suffer any kind of suffering while receiving government services.

Abdur Rouf also stressed the importance of all the Bridge Department officials to properly fulfil their assigned responsibilities and to transform all the officials and employees into skilled manpower by providing regular training.

Officials of the Bridge Department, Bangladesh Bridge Authority and Padma Bridge Site Office participated in the training.
