Three people were killed and one was injured in a head-on collision between a pickup truck and a motorcycle in Dhanbari Upazila in Tangail on early Thursday.
Police said that the accident took place at about 5:30am in Bilaspur Battala area of Tangail-Jamalpur regional highway.
Two of the deceased have been identified. They are motorcycle riders Md Al-Amin, 30, and Swapan Mia, 35, of Jamalpur.
The two motorcycle riders died on the spot. The injured pickup driver died after being taken to Dhanbari Upazila Health Complex.
The other motorcycle rider was seriously injured. Seriously injured motorcycle rider, Md Sani 20, was sent to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital.
Dhanbari Police Station officer-in-charge SM Shahidullah said that upon receiving news of the accident, police and fire service personnel launched a rescue operation.
