Bangladesh University Grants Commission chairman Professor SMA Faiz has called for building a new Bangladesh free from discrimination in line with the spirit of the July uprising.
The positive change of every citizen is essential for building a new Bangladesh. Change in society is possible through individual changes,鈥� he said while speaking as chief guest at a discussion titled July 鈥� Beyond Boundaries in Dhaka on Thursday.
The meeting was organised by the Bangladesh consulate general, Hong Kong, which was presided over by consul general Shah Mohammad Tanvir Mansur.
President of Bangladesh Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce Dewan Saiful Alam Masud, Hong Kong community representatives Md Zafar Ali, Golam Mostafa, Azad Rahman, Md Zahirul Islam, Md Imam Hossain Kamrul and Farhana Sultana, general secretary of Bangladesh Association of Hong Kong Khairul Islam Nizami and president of Bangladesh Students Association, Hong Kong Imran Al Ikram, among others, spoke on the occasion.
