
The founding chairperson of Scholastica School and a former adviser to a caretaker government, Yasmeen Murshed, passed away while undergoing treatment at United Hospital in Dhaka at around 8:31 pm on Thursday, says a press release.
She also served as the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Pakistan.
Yasmeen Murshed, 80, is survived by her son, Maher Murshed, and daughter, Madiha Murshed.
Her namaz-e-Janaza will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Azad Masjid, Gulshan, after Jummah prayer.
Her body will be taken to the Scholastica Senior Campus, Uttara (Sector 1) at 2:30 pm. Her second namaz-e-janaza will be held at 4:00 pm on the campus. Afterwards, she will be buried at Banani graveyard.
