After months of culinary battles, stories of success and setbacks and dramatic showdowns, ‘Sera Radhuni Season 8’ came to a close with the announcement of the ultimate winner at the grand finale.

Following fierce competition across four final challenges- ‘Kingkartabyabimur’, ‘Seafood Challenge’, ‘Restaurant Challenge’, and the ‘Mega Kitchen Challenge’, Nisat Anjum from Narayanganj emerged as the winner based on the judges’ scores, said a press release on Saturday.

Tamanna Yesmin from Bogura secured second place, while Juairia Kamal from Naogaon claimed third.

Organised regularly by Square Food and Beverage Limited’s popular brand ‘Radhuni’, Sera Radhuni’s 8th season was officially announced at a press conference on November 5, 2024, followed by a nationwide registration drive.

From thousands of applicants across the country, 48 contestants were selected through divisional auditions to participate in the grand audition in Dhaka. From there, the top 20 were chosen for the main studio round’s competition.

Season 8 was grander than any of its predecessors, featuring the highest number of theme-based challenges yet. Familiar rounds like ‘Ei To Banglar Swad’, ‘Swader Bishwa Bhraman’, ‘Mishtimukh’, ‘Chokh Buje Swader Khoje’, and ‘Just Bake It’ were accompanied by new additions such as ‘Midnight Craving’, ‘Fish Fusion’, ‘Moshlar Master’, and ‘Kingkartabyabimur’.

The judging panel comprised Chef Nayeem Ashraf, culinary expert Rahima Sultana Reeta, and actress and media personality Dilara Hanif Purnima.

After the studio round, three finalists, Nisat, Juairia, and Tamanna, advanced to professional cook-offs in Cox’s Bazar, Sylhet, and Pabna. The grand finale was held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre, where the ultimate winner was announced and prizes were awarded.

The grand finale featured top executives from Square Group, the three judges, five mentors, former winners of past seasons, and various celebrities from different sectors.

Musical performances by Hridoy Khan, Imran Mahmudul, and Kona energised the event.
