Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG 148, arriving from Dubai, landed safely at Shah Amanat International Airport at 7:15am on Thursday with 287 passengers on board.
The flight then departed for Dhaka at 8:37am but had to return shortly afterward due to a technical fault, landing safely back at the airport at 8:58am.
The aircraft is currently stationed at Bay No 8 of the airport. All passengers are reported to be safe.
According to Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil, public relations officer at Shah Amanat International Airport, the airline arranged for all affected passengers to be accommodated on another flight, BG-122, which departed for Dhaka at 10:50am.
