Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College has organised a reception programme for the meritorious students, who passed the SSC examination this year, at the college in the capital’s Mirpur.

In addition, a special exchange of views has been organised in honour of the guardians to highlight the improvement of education standards, educationally conducive environment and future work plans, said a press release on Monday. 


Presided over by the newly appointed principal of the college, Sanjoy Kumar Dhar, founder and chairman of the college governing body, Ven Prajnananda Mahathera, was present as chief guest at the event.

The programme was hosted by the college’s English teacher Abdul Haye Majumdar.

Teacher representative of the governing body assistant professor Md Zakidul Islam, English version teacher of the college Jesmin Akhter and Sultana Pervin, among others, were present at the programme.

Prajnananda Mahathera said, ‘All the students who get admitted to class XI at Banophool Adibashi Green Heart College with a Golden GPA-5 in SSC will have their monthly tuition fee waived. In addition, half tuition fee for those who get GPA-5 and 20 per cent admission fee waiver for all students who get admitted to class XI in their own institution is announced.’

Prajnananda Mahathera further said that if any student from the national minority communities, including the three hill districts, is admitted to the first year of the college, they will be provided with residential facilities and the opportunity to study on half tuition fee.
