Chief justice Syed Refaat Ahmed on Sunday nominated justice Md Rezaul Haque as judge-in-chamber-1 and justice Farah Mahbub as judge-in-chamber-2, forming two chamber judge courts to dispose of emergency matters at the Appellate Division.
An apex court notification, signed by Appellate Division registrar Md Hasanuzzaman, said that the chamber judge court-1 would hear cases arising from civil and criminal cases, while the chamber judge court-2 would hear cases arising from matters under writ jurisdiction and original jurisdiction.
The chamber judge court-1 would hold hearing every day at 2:15pm from Sunday to Thursday, while the chamber judge court-2 hear cases on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday, until the further order.
