Inter Services Public Relation on Saturday said that recent social media post claiming Bangladesh Army provided bus for a political party to use in its programme was completely false.

‘The post is completely false, it is intentional and confusing, which is a clear vicious move to tarnish the Army’s image,’ said an ISPR press release.

A photo went viral on social media on Saturday that showed that Bangladesh Army written bus was carrying activists to Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s National rally held at Suhrawardy Udyan in Dhaka.

ISPR, however, said that the reality was that the Army directed different educational institutions’ rented buses temporarily from private mass transport sources for the sake of students commuting and many of those buses were with the logo of Bangladesh Army or had Bangladesh Army written on those.

Some mass transports use the logo or name of Bangladesh Army randomly to get some facilities on the road, which is an unlawful act.

A vested quarter, with an evil intention, was trying to make Bangladesh Army controversial, said the ISPR.

The ISPR release said that the Bangladesh Army requested all general people not to get confused and not to share post without scrutiny.
