Bangladesh University Grants Commission secretary Md Fakhrul has been nominated as a member of the Bangladesh Press Council.
He was nominated as the UGC representative for the 21st Council of the Press Council Act, 1974, said a press release on Monday.
He will serve as a member of the Bangladesh Press Council for the next 2 years.
He expressed his expectation that he would make an important contribution in taking and implementing various decisions taken by the Bangladesh Press Council in improving the quality of journalism in the country.
