A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution and Russia鈥檚 Federal Agency on Technical Regulating and Metrology to enhance cooperation in national standards development and quality control.
On behalf of Bangladesh, BSTI director general SM Ferdous Alam signed the MoU, while GOST R鈥檚 chief executive Anton Shalaev represented the Russian side.
The event was presided by the additional secretary of industries ministry Maksura Noor, minister-counsellor Ekaterina Semenova, embassy of the Russian Federation in Dhaka, director general of the Eastern Europe and CIS division of foreign ministry Md Mosharraf Hossain, administrator of FBCCI Md Hafizur Rahman, and senior officials of industries, foreign ministries, Russian embassy and BSTI also present.
